NSK believes that contribution to protecting global environment is an important and integral part of our responsibility to the communities where we are active. With the acquisition of ISO 14001 certification in 1999, we proclaimed, domestically and internationally, our environment-conscious management policy throughout the whole business process from designing, developing, manufacturing to sales. With the company-wide environmental considerations, NSK will continually make our utmost effort to preserve energy, conserve resource and reduce waste, believing that our efforts will help making the earth a better place for all the natural ecology to live in. |

Completely removed trichlene (trichloroethylene) , which is a hazardous substance contributing to water pollution and air pollution. | |

Started Environmental Impact Testing by establishing unique standards on NSK Nakanishi's environmental impact substances. In addition , started company wide action aimed at combating against losses of resources , energy , etc. (Separated collection , lights off during inactivity , paper recycling , etc.) | |

Maintained numerical values that are far below smoke emission standard values by setting up a new high-combustion "Ace Plaza II Incinerator." | |

Set up an Environmental Recycling Center and introduced various recycling equipment. As a result , the recycling rate of factory supplies increased while new purchase quantities and industrial waste disposal volume drastically decreased. Specifically , the recycling rate of cutting oil became 97% , a major contribution to the conservation of resources. | |

Completed the abolition of organic solvents of water-polluting hazardous materials (methylene chloride). | |
